Christmas among street children in West Africa.

Three years ago we helped to send A. and Y. from Venezuela to West Africa to work with Talibe (street) children. These are children that are abused and exploited by teachers of the Quran and put out on the streets to beg for money.

Because of their intentional obedience to the Great Commissions, many of these children are not only being fed and clothes, they are being rescued and educated. This Christmas they asked us to help them fund a soccer torunament and Christmas festival.

These children never have time to play soccer, but this Venezuelan family organized a Christmas talibe soccer tournament in which a least for one day these children could just be children.

The festival lasted 2 days in which they were also able to feed 470 street children, and give them clothes and shoes and Christmas gifts, and tell them about the birth of Jesus Christ. This was the first Christmas the majority of these children have ever celebrated in their lives. Thank God for this Godly couple living out the Great Commandment of Jesus Christ to these children. Now, many of the former street children are studying in school and even taking the Gospel back to their families and villages
